Taking part
How taking part works
From finding an event to walking through the farm gate — here is the whole journey, step by step. No account is needed to register.
Step 1: Find an event
Browse the calendar and choose an open day, workshop or field day. Every event page shows the date, the place, the fee, the programme and how many places are left.
See all eventsStep 2: Register in a minute
Press Register on the event page and send your name, email and how many people are coming. Some events confirm each registration by hand, and if an event is full you can join the waiting list.
Step 3: Check your email
We email you a confirmation with your reference number and a calendar file that adds the event to your phone. If it doesn't arrive within a few minutes, look in your spam folder.
Step 4: Keep or cancel your place
The email holds a private link to view your registration or cancel it if your plans change. A cancelled place goes to the next person on the waiting list.
Step 5: Come and take part
Arrive on the day with your reference and anything the event page asks you to bring. Want to do more than visit? Many events need volunteers — you can offer to help from the event page.
Step 6: Visiting from abroad?
International guests apply through the Participant Portal: create your profile, upload your travel documents and ask for a visa support letter.
